How to Book Car Rentals on Priceline

Need a vehicle for getting around, whether close to home or away from home? Priceline.com has you covered. The booking process is basically the same as it is on other accommodation booking websites, but is done in a slightly different order.
First, you enter a location that you’re going to pick up your car from and drop off your car at, and the times at which you will be doing so. Then, you select a car type and a company to rent from. Follow that up by entering your driver and contact information, and you’re all set!
To book a rental car on Priceline:
- Go to www.priceline.com and click Cars.
- Enter a rental location, pick-up date & time, and drop-off date & time.
- Select a car type and company to rent it from.
- Select whether or not you want additional collision insurance.
- Enter your driver and contact information, and confirm your order.

Detailed instructions for how to reserve a car rental
1. Open your web browser and go to www.priceline.com. In the menu across the top of the screen, click Cars.
2. Type in an airport, city, or point of interest near where you wish to pick up your rental car. Then, select your pick-up date and time, as well as your drop-off date and time.
You can also click the check box labelled “Have a Discount Code?” if you have a way to get a discount on a certain rental car company’s rates. In the box that appears, select the company that you have a discount for, and then enter your discount code in the appropriate box.
When you’ve entered all of your information, click Search Rental Cars.
3. You will see a grid with available car types, along with the rental companies that provide them. For more options, click Previous or Next in the top-right corner. Click on an option in the grid to select it. Click Reserve It in the window that pops up to confirm your selection.
4. You have just a few more things to do before your car rental is complete. First, select whether or not you want additional insurance coverage in the “Add Collision Damage Coverage” section. Click one of the buttons here to select whether you want it or not.
5. Next, you’ll have to enter your driver’s information (as it appears on your driver’s license) and your contact information.
In the “Driver Information” section, click in the respective boxes and type in:
– Your first name
– Your middle initial (optional)
– Your last name
– Your Blue Chip membership number (optional)
Next, in the “Your Contact Information” section, click in the respective boxes and type in:
– Your first name
– Your last name
– Your phone number
– Your email address
– A copy of your email address
6. When you’ve entered all of your information, click Reserve My Rental Car at the bottom of the page.
You should receive confirmation of your order, either on the next screen or in your email inbox. Be sure to print it out and take it with you when you pick up your car, so the rental company can tell which one you reserved. Also remember, that you will pay when you pick up your rental car, which is why you didn’t have to enter any billing information for your order.
