3. Click Communication Preferences.
4. Click Show beside “Promotions and Surveys” and make sure that the check box beside “General Email Promotions” is checked. If it isn’t, click it to mark it, and then click Save.
Certain virtual coupon websites on the Internet, such as FatWallet, GoodShop, CouponFollow, and UltimateCoupons contain coupon codes for certain products or services on eBay. They generally look like this (though you may have to click Reveal Coupon or something like that to get to them):
In either case, once you find a code, be sure to write it down, as well as information on what it can be used for or when it expires.
1. Go to www.ebay.com in your web browser and log in.
2. Find an item (or items) on eBay that you wish to purchase and Buy It Now (or add it to your virtual shopping cart, and then proceed to the virtual checkout). See steps 1 through 6 in our How to Buy on eBay tutorial for help with this.
3. Once you get to the checkout page, click in the box that says “Redemption Code” and type in the code that you wrote down. Then click Apply.
If the code doesn’t work, re-check the fine print on it (including the items you can or can’t use it on, or when it expires), or try a different code.
That’s a brief lesson on how to use eBay coupons! Our next tutorial will teach you how to update your eBay account settings.
