To sign up for Kayak.com
- Enter www.kayak.com in your web browser’s address bar.
- Click My Kayak, and then select Sign Up from the drop-down menu.
- Click Continue with Facebook or Continue with Google to sign up using either account, or enter your email address and a password in the appropriate boxes.
- Click the grey Sign Up button.

Detailed instructions on how to create an account
1. Go to “www.kayak.com” into your web browser of choice.
In this tutorial, we will be using Google Chrome as our web browser, but you can choose your favorite.
2. Click My Kayak to access the user menu, and then click Sign Up.
At the top-right corner of the screen, click My Kayak. This will open a drop-down menu, where you can click Sign Up to begin creating your Kayak account.
3. Choose a method of signing up, and enter your information.
On the screen that pops up, you can choose to sign up with your Facebook account, Google account, or other email account. To choose Facebook, click Continue with Facebook; to choose Google, click Continue with Google. Either of these options will provide you with further instructions that will help you create your Kayak account by automatically filling it in with information from the account that you chose.
To choose to sign up with your email account instead, click in the box labelled “Email Address” and type in your email account address. Then click in the box labelled “Password” and type in a password to protect your Kayak account with.
4. Click Sign Up to create your Kayak account.
If you chose to sign up for a Kayak account with your email account, click the grey Sign Up button at the bottom of the screen to finish the process. You have now created your Kayak account!
5. Confirm the email address you used to sign up for Kayak (if you chose this method).
Again, if you signed up for Kayak with an email account, you will receive an email from “service@email.kayak.com” to ensure you have a valid email address to use with your Kayak account. Open the email and click the orange Confirm Your Account button to confirm your email address. You will then be automatically signed in to your new account for the first time.
What does a Kayak.com account get me?
Anyone can go to www.kayak.com and see the best travel deals; you do not need to create an account to use the website. However, by signing up for an account, you are able to receive members-only prices, or alerts from Kayak on last-minute deals. Therefore, creating an account is another way to save even more money while using the travel booking website.
You can also set up flight and hotel alerts on the website to be notified of the price of a particular flight or hotel you are keeping track of. You can create the alerts to be sent weekly, so you can watch the ongoing price of a flight or hotel you may be interested in booking in the near future.
