What is Amazon Prime Instant Video?
Amazon Instant Video is a service from Amazon that allows you to rent, buy, and download hundreds of digital movies and TV show episodes. If you have a subscription to Amazon Prime, you can watch many of these movies and TV shows on your computer and other supported devices at no extra cost.
How to watch Amazon Prime Instant Video on your computer
1. Go to www.amazon.com in your web browser and log in.
2. Move your mouse cursor over Shop By Department, then over Amazon Video, and then click Prime Video.
3. Move your mouse cursor over a movie or TV show that you’d like to watch, and then click Watch Now.

4. Once you begin watching your movie or TV show episode, the Amazon Instant Video player is pretty simple to use.
The large button on the left starts or stops the video when you click on it. The four smaller buttons on the right, in order, allow you to:
- Switch your video quality between Standard Definition and High Definition (if HD is available)
- Turn closed captions on or off (if available)
- Enter and exit full screen mode
- Adjust the volume of the Amazon Instant Video player
(NOTE: If you are watching a TV episode instead of a movie, there will be an additional button here that says Up Next. Click it to view the next episode for that show.)
Finally, click the “X” in the top-right corner to close the Amazon Instant Video player and return to the information page for the current movie or TV show episode that you are currently watching.
